For your convenience and safety, the Emergency Department at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
At FVRH, those who come into the ER are seen by a triage nurse and an Emergency Department physician who determines which services the patient needs.
You should visit the Emergency Room for any potentially life threatening condition such as:
- chest pain
- shortness of breath
- a sick child under 6 months of age
- abdominal pain
- pregnancy-related problem
- vaginal bleeding
- psychiatric problems
- change in vision
- altered level of consciousness/confusion
Our Emergency Department physicians are board certified in Emergency Medicine.
Our Emergency department also offers interpreter services, social services, pastoral services and patient representative services.
