American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery

The ASMBS Center of Excellence designation recognizes surgical programs with a demonstrated track record of favorable outcomes in bariatric surgery.
 
Accredited Chest Pain Center 

The Society of Chest Pain Centers 

The SCPC accreditation recognizes that Fountain Valley Regional Hospital has met or exceeded quality-of-care measures in acute cardiac medicine. Our hospital was the first in Orange County to receive this designation.

 
 
Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award for Stroke 

American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association Get With The Guidelines Program

Hospitals receiving Get With The Guidelines Gold Plus Achievement Award for Stroke have reached an aggressive goal of treating stroke patients with 85% or higher compliance to core standard levels of care as outlined by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association for 12 consecutive months. In addition, those hospitals have demonstrated 75% compliance to 7 out of 10 stroke quality measures during the 12-month period.
 
Diabetes Self-Management Education Program

The American Diabetes Association recognizes our education program as meeting the national Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education.

The Blue Distinction program examines evidence-based quality measures, processes, and aggregate outcomes for clinical care in specific areas of specialty care. Fountain Valley Regional Hospital has received Distinction Center accreditation in the following specialties:

    CIGNA Certified Hospital for Bariatric Surgery

    Fountain Valley Regional Hospital is a designated CIGNA Certified Hospital for Bariatric Surgery. Certification is based on a series of strict criteria developed in accordance with guidelines from the National Institutes of Health, the American Society for Bariatric Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons.
