Our Volunteer Program at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center has provided ongoing assistance and support to our patients, medical staff and community for over 35 years. Our volunteers are a dynamic group of people, who bring us their dedication, time and their hearts.
Volunteer Opportunities:
The success of our volunteer program is dependent upon teamwork, which is developed through the positive relationships established within the program. Together we will continue to build an outreach for the patients, staff and community. Volunteer assignments are determined by individual interest, availability and department need.

Volunteer Requirements:
- Must be at least 15 years of age (see below for Jr. Volunteers)
- Submit a completed application. Apply online now. Type in "volunteer" in the Keywords search area. Then choose the appropriate application (Adult, College or Junior).
- Complete a Personal Interview
- Undergo Background Screening Clearance
- Pass a Medical Health Screening*
- Attend a Hospital Orientation*
* These steps are completed after you have cleared the Background Screening and Interview process.
Junior Volunteer Program:
Our Juniors are an elite group of 30 high school students who are selected to represent the youth of our community through their values, enthusiasm and genuine interest to help others. This opportunity is open to all students ages 15-18 years of age.
Applications are available annually online on April 1st and must be completed by May 31st. Our Juniors are obligated to volunteer from September-June with a monthly requirement of eight hours.
Currently, our High School Junior Volunteer program is closed through April 2012. (We are currently not accepting new applications for this program.)
