What Is RSS?
RSS stand for Real Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary. This technology gathers and sends online content — such as news headlines, audio and video — directly to your computer. Using an RSS feed reader, you can automatically receive and browse the latest news from various websites – such as Fountain Valley’s — without having to visit each one of them.
How do I subscribe to RSS feeds?
To subscribe to any RSS feed, you have to download and install software called an “RSS reader,” “feed reader” or “aggregator”. You can also receive RSS feeds through web-based RSS readers – including Feedly and Digg. These are free. If you decide to install software, a couple of options include FeedReader (Windows) or Leaf (Mac).
