Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center has improved patient care with implementation of an electronic medical record system for use by physicians. This initiative is known as IMPACT and involves the implementation of Cerner PowerChart.
The Computerized Physician Order Entry (COPE) sets the foundation for exchanging patient information across community healthcare providers to improve patient care. By accessing the electronic patient chart, physicians and hospital staff will have the latest, most complete information in one place to use in making clinical decisions, enhance patient safety, access information remotely and deliver care without having to rely on printed copies.
