Fountain Valley Regional Hospital wouldn’t let young patients miss Halloween
Nov 3, 2021
Dressed in his fireman Halloween costume, Jayden Rodriguez, 2, came out of the Fountain Valley Regional Hospital on Friday to watch a parade of vehicles drive by, waving to some real firefighters during the 15th annual Pediatric Halloween Parade.
A handful of patients were able to go outside to watch the parade, while it was livestreamed on a screen inside for more of the youngsters having to stay at the hospital during the spooky holiday.
Hospital staffers joined in the fun, wearing a variety of costumes, from Rubik’s cubes to a Mr. Potato Head. Angela Guitar of Laguna Niguel, a registered nurse at FVRH, dressed her dog, Gizmo, as a super dog, complete with a cape.
Decorated pumpkins were also on display, most having a hospital theme, and pediatric patients received non-candy goodies donated by staff and the community.
