Hip Care

We have the right treatment options for your hip pain

Hip pain, whether it is from an injury or caused by a degenerative joint disease, can interfere with your daily life. At Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center, our specialists use surgical and nonsurgical treatments to get you back to your active life. Enjoy the benefits of some of our advanced treatment options in:

  • Physical therapy
  • Medications
  • Robotic minimally invasive hip replacement surgery

Our specialized team of physicians, nurses, pain specialists and therapists will develop the best treatment plan for you. Our “Orthopedic Navigators” will guide you through the entire process, from educating you about your diagnosis to rehabilitation. They’ll even help you with insurance procedures.

If you need hip surgery

If the best treatment option for you is hip surgery, we specialize in advanced technologies to make surgery as minimally invasive as necessary. This typically results in several benefits:

  • Shorter recovery time
  • Less pain
  • Less scarring
  • Less muscle trauma
  • Reduced risk of dislocation

A different approach to hip surgery

Our surgeons can use Anterior Hip Surgery, a method of replacing your hip without detaching the muscles from your pelvis or femur. (Other approaches require detaching those muscles.) Because the important muscles in your hip function are left undisturbed, those muscles will not need to heal so you experience less pain and a shorter recovery. Immediately after surgery, most patients use their hip normally without restrictions.
