We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience. To do so, we are actively working with consultants to update the website by increasing its accessibility and usability by persons who use assistive technologies such as automated tools, keyboard-only navigation, and screen readers.

We are working to have the website conform to the relevant standards of the Section 508 Web Accessibility Standards developed by the United States Access Board, as well as the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1. These standards and guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. We believe that conformance with these standards and guidelines will help make the website more user friendly for all people.

Our efforts are ongoing. While we strive to have the website adhere to these guidelines and standards, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website. If, at any time, you have specific questions or concerns about the accessibility of any particular webpage, please contact so that we may be of assistance.

Gynecologic Surgery

Minimally invasive options for gynecologic surgeries

Women are faced with a number of gynecologic conditions that might require surgery. Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center offers a vast array of minimally invasive surgery services to meet your needs. We provide:

  • da Vinci® robotic-assisted surgery that often results in a shorter recovery time
  • A patient-centered environment with a team of dedicated women’s health professionals
  • Minimally invasive procedures  for a range of surgeries, including fibroid removal and hysterectomy

Endometriosis, fibroids and pelvic floor prolapse are some of the most common gynecologic ailments requiring surgery. Traditional surgery used to be the only choice, with a lengthy and painful recovery.

Now Fountain Valley can treat many conditions with a minimally invasive robotic surgery using the da Vinci® Surgical System. Robotic arms are controlled by your surgeon. This allows greater dexterity and precision in the surgery process. A typical result is less blood loss, and less scarring and pain for a patient.

Minimally invasive surgery for UFE (uterine fibroid embolization) is also available at Fountain Valley. We use the Magellan system Embolize the fibroid. Meaning it restricts the blood supply to uterine fibroids so that they shrink. The uterus is left unharmed.
